Prince Ozo Chukwura, a frontline Customs Broker, business mogul and politician has donated N2million as fueling cost for the continuous construction and upgrading of roads at Oriade LCDA , Satallite town area of Lagos State.
Prince Ozo Chukwura made the kind donation during the courtesy / thank you visit to him by the newly elected Executive Chairman of Oriade LCDA, Hon. Rasak Akorede Olojede and his team.
Prince Ozo Chukwura who regarded Hon. Olojede as his political son and grassroot politician promised to work with him to make sure the entire Oriade LCDA reaps the benefits of the Renewed Hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and that of the Lagos State governor, Babjide Sanwon- Olu .
In his address at the visit which took place at the System Place Hotels Limited, Satallite town, on Thursday, Hon. Rasak Olojede said:
“I am a very familiar person with my environment having lived 40 out of my 48 years on earth within this Local Council Development Area.
“This area is housing both the riverine and upland areas and mainly divided into Satellite town and Ijegun Egba which are the heartlands of the LCDA. I have the desire to make life better for the indigenes and residents of the LCDA.
“We are having meetings with the traditional rulers in order to outline the projects that we plan to execute and of course we have to bring in government interests to meet with the public interests-schools, police posts, health centres and others that will impact positively on the lives of residents of this area”.
The chairman who has been nicknamed ” Talk and Do”, added that he intends to ensure that those who engage in agriculture within the islands in the LCDA are encouraged to help boost food security in inline with the desire of the State government.
“We have to project the objectives of the State government so that the people will be able to key into the various projects to improve their lives and the environment”. The chairman added.
He also encouraged other residents of the area to emulate the generous gesture of Prince Ozo Chukwura who funded the fueling of heavy equipment for the ongoing construction works of some roads around the area .
“We want to connect the various communities on the two islands to the mainlands and all the listed government interests shall be provided towards achieving all our plans. We are speaking with the people”.
Honourable Olojede added that aside the construction works going on, there are plans for training programmes and other educational policies aimed at enlightening the populace and everybody will be carried along , while seeking the cooperation and understanding of the people in the LCDA.
From his emotional remarks, the host, Prince Ozo Chukwura thanked the Chairman and his team for the honour and promised to support him all the way.
” Rasak is like my son, I know his family and everything around him, he is a very humble and hardworking politician. I was not in APC , but when he intimated me of his ambition to become the Chairman of the LCDA, I supported him fully and decamped to the APC.
” I will support him all the way. My donation of N2million is for the fueling of the heavy equipment that will be used for the ongoing roads construction, is my little support to aid the works . He is just elected into office, he has not gotten any allocation yet, so I need to encourage him as my son for the good works he is doing and will continue to do so. I will not control him, but whenever he seek my opinion and advice on any issue, I will do so.
” I wish him well and I know this young man will make us and the governor of Lagos State proud”, Prince Ozo Chukwura assured.
He also donated some sovinior items to the Chairman to aid his work, while he provided choice drinks and foods for all the guests and supporters who graced the occasion.
