The 14 – Port State Control Committee Meeting of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Port State Control for West and Central African Region (Abuja MOU ) begins today ,Tuesday with a Zoom meeting.
The three days event is scheduled for Tuesday 10- 12 September 2024.
According to a program of event for the Tuesday zoom meeting, it features, Arrival and Registration, the National Anthem and Opening prayer, Introduction of Dignitaries and Introduction of Heads of MARADs present, Observers and Special Guests.

Welcome address by the host Country’s Director General – Mr Nkou Christian Armel,
Opening Address by the Secretary General of Abuja MoU – Capt. Sunday Umoren,
Goodwill message by Host Country’s Honourable Minister of Transport – Hon. Sayi Honore, Remarks by the Vice-Chairman of Abuja MoU, the Honourable Minister of Marine and Blue Economy of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Mr Gboyega Oyetola.
As well as Goodwill message and declaration of the Meeting opened by the Chairman, Abuja MoU, The Honourable Minister of Transport & Infrastructure of the Republic of the Gambia – Mr. Ebrimah Sillah, Cultural Display (If any) and Vote of thanks by the Chairman of the Planning Committee – Mr Albert Massoueme. While Photo Session and Tea Break will end the session.
