As the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) Board of Trustees (BOT) election draws closer, contestants for the BOT seats are campaigning to be elected into the respected position of Board members
One of such qualified, humble and respected candidate contesting for the ANLCA BOT election is Alhaji JIMOH ATANDA AGBOOLA, (Chief Saraki Adeen of Oke-ola, Agege Central Mosque ). He is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), JIMAG FREIGHT SERVICES NIGERIA LTD.
AGBOOLA, who has been in the freight forwarding trade since 1979, is a Chieftain in ANLCA . Before establishing his company JIMAG FREIGHT SERVICES NIGERIA LTD, he has worked in several freight forwarding firms, including World Clear International Agency.
WHY I WANT TO BE BOT MEMBER :
“I am inspired by numerous members of ANLCA to become the BOT member so I can bring the needed changes and give direction through my many years of experience in the industry.
“I have been in ANLCA for long, even though I have not held any position, but I see that at the level of BOT, I am ably qualified. Let me tell you, if we elect credible, honest, and respected people into the ANLCA BOT, be assured the Association will regain its rightful place in the maritime industry.
” The right choices as BOT members will give direction and good advice to the NECOM and even back them up in policy direction for both the members and the industry. As such, we need people of integrity, commitment, and service, and I promise that if I am voted in, I will dedicate myself with my experience to make sure these agendas are achieved.”
AGBOOLA’S ADVICE TO ANLCA MEMBERS
“My advice to ANLCA members is don’t make the mistake of the past. Do not vote and choose monetary gains. Vote those who will care for your business and welfare.
” We are middlemen to Customs that generate Trillions of Naira to government, but we are living like slaves, this must change.”
ADVICE TO FELLOW CONTESTANTS:
” My advice to my fellow contestants in the BOT election is that , the election is not a -do -or -die affair, who ever wins among the 14 candidates for the 9 slots, we should all be seen as winners. The important thing is ANLCA should move forward positively. ”
ADVICE TO ASECO :
My advice to the Association Electorial Commission (ASECO) is that they should conduct a free , credible, and fair election to pick the 9 out of 14. Let’s vote the right persons to power. “
