The classical thoughts of ” Wealthy men get wealthier after tenure in office ” should not drive the aspirations into the exalted board of trustees position of ANLCA, rather, the quest for professional governance should be the driving force.
And for those who will elect or vote, see a bigger picture of ANLCA in your heart. Don’t be easily lured into “feeling charitable, without finding out where the money goes later on”. Don’t also forget the prism” Where there’s smoke – polluters beware”.
It is important to reiterate this, so that, we don’t end up in same circle, “A sad heart at the supermarket”. Let’s shoot the frontiers of greed” down, rather stemming ANLCA for professional survival should be the flag to fly, presently.
In a political setting, you are cautioned to vote wisely, but in a professional setting we admonish “shoppers to favor firms with a heart”.
As such, in the face of the lore of money, let’s still, shop for “unsentimental corporate giver”, while self seeking and uncompetitive bidders should be shown their dwell path.
The central leadership in ANLCA has a duty square up the game, with an attitude to controlling the damage, against the experiences of the past.
In conclusion, without mincing words, the ANLCA BOT election is one key process towards remaking the ANLCA CEOs in general. We must avoid the pit falls of the wrong past path sheilded in, ego, hypocrisy, betrayal and greed that unsettle the soul of ANLCA.
