The newly appointed Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Dr Abubakar Dantsoho on Monday in Lagos took over the mantle of leadership at the NPA headquarters, Marina in Lagos State.
Dantsoho promised to focus on the digitization process system and to further consolidate on port modernization plan, in his efforts to ensure trade facilitation. He also promised to focus on Port Community System for effective seaports operation.
The new NPA helmsman made the promises during his taken over from the outgoing Managing Director, Mohammed Bello-Koko .
The incoming Managing Director, stated his main goal will be to reposition the organization for increased productivity and greater efficiency, improved revenue generation, and enhanced staff productivity.
The verified Facebook page of NPA quoted the new MD as saying, “Earlier this morning, the outgoing Managing Director, Mohammed Bello- Koko handed over the leadership of the Authority to the newly appointed Managing Director, Dr Abubakar Dantsoho at the Corporate Headquarters, Marina, Lagos.
“The incoming Managing Director, Dr Abubakar Dantsoho stated his main goal will be to reposition the Organization for increased productivity and greater efficiency, improved revenue generation, and enhanced staff productivity.
“He assured the Authority of his commitment to the ongoing digitization process; Port Community System, port modernization plan, and equipment renewal program.”
