School of Eloquence, West Africa’s first certified Public Speaking School has successfully obtained a Broadcasting License from the Nigerian Broadcasting Corporation ( NBC) to establish Nigeria’s first Motivational Television Station “Achievement Channel”.

The station is a new concept in the country’s television space and is being promoted by Ubong Essien, West Africa’s first certified public speaking professional. The station is expected to hit the airwaves after an official launch.

Ubong Essien, who announced the breakthrough on his Facebook page, described the license as product of an eighteen years journey which he described as years of perseverance.

Presently the Dean of Lagos based School of Eloquence with branches in Abuja and alumni groups spread across the country, Essien promotes ethical standards, guide and capacity building in public speaking.

Celebrating the feat, he wrote on his Facebook page “It’s been a journey of 18 long years since that fateful day in June 2006 when I first purchased the license application forms from the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) office in Abuja then as a young publisher of the Achievers Manual. I simply wanted to start a TV channel focused exclusively on positivity – THE ACHIEVEMENT CHANNEL.

“Through all the odds, challenges, and vicissitudes, the dream refused to die. Today, we stand as a testament to the power of persistence and unwavering vision.

“We’re excited to announce that The Achievement Channel is officially LICENSED by the National Broadcasting Commission! Today marks not just a historic moment but a massive milestone for us and all of Nigeria as we unveil the nation’s FIRST-EVER 100% motivational TV channel!

“Now, with our official broadcasting license in hand, The Achievement Channel is ready to inspire and empower. This isn’t just a victory for us—it’s a victory for everyone who believes that dreams are worth chasing, no matter how long it takes.

“This license is our ticket to broadcast a wave of inspiration, motivation, and empowerment across the country. We’re here to ignite the can-do spirit in every Nigerian, transforming dreams into reality, one story, one show, one moment at a time, especially in these most challenging of times.

“Stay tuned as we bring this vision to life, sharing motivation, inspiration, and empowerment across Nigeria. Get ready for transformative stories, expert advice, and a community of like-minded achievers. We can’t wait to share our exciting new programs and content”, Essien said.
