As the crises at the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA), MMAC Chapter continues to fester, with the ANLCA National President Emenike Kingsley Nwokeoji and his NECOM bent on removing the current chapter Chairman, Prince Bagmibala Adewusi, despite the case in Appeal Court, some chieftains of the association have exonerated themselves to avoid contempt of court charge.
In a chat with Roamrepporters online, Prince Ozo Chukwura, who is the Vice Chairman, BOT of the association said he is not part of the shenanigans the president and some of his NECOM members are putting up at the Airport Chapter.
Ozo said, its a shame ANLCA is degenerating to this level that the present leadership is waging trouble on its members where there is no trouble.
” I want to state it clear that am not part of the shameful acts going on at the MMAC chapter. I can’t remember when NEC sat to discuss not to talk about suspension of a legally elected Chairman at the Airport.
” This matter is in court and there is even a contempt of court on this matter, yet the president and some of his NECOM are flaunting it. Am not part of it please”, Ozo exonerated himself.
Also, speaking the immediate past National Secretary of ANLCA, Alhaji Abdulazeez Babatunde Mukaila, who is also the Senior Special Adviser/ Chairman Committee on Biometrics and International Relations to the current ANLCA National President in a chat with Roamrepporters online has denied being part of the committee that recommended the suspension of the MMAC chapter chairman.
Mukaila said, he was in the village when they called him and he is not aware of any suspension letter and as the matter is in court , as such he has no comment.
Dated 25th , June 2024, the Suspension letter reads:
Letter of Suspension of Membership:
“We write to inform you that sequel to the findings of the National Disciplinary Committee of the association regarding your deliberate multifarious breaches of the Supreme Constitution of ANLCA, including , but not limited to misappropriation of N25,000,000 ( Twenty five million naira only) in utter disregard of S.18 (3) of ANLCA constitution which you claimed to have used in erecting a fence.
‘ You are hereby, in line with the provisions of ANLCA Supreme Constitution indefinitely suspended from the association forthwith until you purge yourself of all the illegalities and make appropriate restitution”.
The suspension letter was signed by the ANLCA’s National Secretary, Olumide Fakanlu.

Recalled that the crises at the ANLCA Airport Chapter erupted few months ago when the ANLCA National President, Emenike Kingsley Nwokeoji , had inaugurated a new Executives to takeover the leadership of the chapter not minding the case pending in Appeal Court.
Meanwhile, Ozo Chukwura has commended the ANLCA National President for yielding to the voice of reason by retaining the old members of Association Electorial Commission (ASECO). He further urged the President and NECOM to make sure the BOT election is conducted as planned to further stabilize the association and its leadership hierarchy.
