The immediate past President of National Association of Nigerian Travel Agencies (NANTA), Mrs Susan Akpodiaye has lost her beloved Mother, Mrs. Favour Onwionoko (Nee Uno) a.k.a Iya Igbogbo Eko. She was born on 18th July, 1951 and was called to glory on 17th April 2024.
According to statement from the family it reads:
“With profound gratitude to God for a life well spent, we announce the transition to glory of our dearly beloved mother and an extraordinary woman, Mrs. Favour Onwionoko (nee Uno) a.k.a Iya Igbogbo Eko, born on the 18th of July, 1951, and called to glory on April 17th, 2024. She leaves a tremendous void in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Her rich legacy is a testament to her remarkable life.
“Blessed with a unique and outstanding personality, Favour embodied an enviable degree of love, kindness, generosity, patience, and goodness, among others. She possessed a perennial smile that lit up the rooms she walked into. Her happiness was contagious, and her ability to go above and beyond for her loved ones didn’t go unnoticed.
“Late Madam Favour’s life affords us with valuable wisdom and lessons for life itself. Her philosophy of treating others as she wanted to be treated and her continuous reminder to be always thankful in every circumstance remain vital lessons she imparted. Above all, she leaves behind the profound legacy of her knowledge and love for God and his kingdom, an attribute she passionately propagated and lived by throughout her life.
“She will be greatly missed by her husband, children, grandchildren, and church family, who loved her dearly. Madam Favour was a beacon of light in our lives and a pillar of strength around whom the family flourished.
“We celebrate a truly remarkable woman, her extraordinary life, cherishing the countless memories she shared with us. Late Mrs Favour Onwionoko will live on in our hearts.”
